got a 160 amp alt. ,stock batt upfront and a about to add a d34/78 redtop to the back. This should keep up with my a3000db(1700-2000watt rms)?

i do believe the red top would be better to put under the hood, i believe it has alot of cold crankin amps, which is better for starting a car ( like a one time burst). if u can, take it back and get a yellowtop or bluetop.....i think they're supposed to release amps slowly and recharge fast, which is good for giving your amps alot of power.

Yeh see thats the thing. I probably should've mentioned earlier. I'm going to be putting this batt in the front as soon as i get some powermaster d3100's, which won't be for another month or two. But just asking; will for now this setup be sufficient?

Should be plenty.

I plan to run ~2200wrms on a stock 126A alt and 2 upgraded batteries.

Thnx but after reading aroudn some...i'm really not gonna spend 175 on a batt thats not deep cycle. Does autozone or AAA have yellowtops for around 175...Looking on there site the d34's cost 200.

IIRC you only need a deep cycle if it is going to be constantly drained and recharged.

Not need in car audio IMO.
