Very Discouraging

I am thinking of leaving the X's in the doors and getting Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS to put in the kick panels that I am going to build, but I am not so sure mixing speakers would be a good idea inless i turned the X's down a lot.

By the reviews I've read I'd say the Premiers will be the only thing you need.

To the OP, can you Bi amp the type X's? I'm thinkin of running 180 to the mids, and 60 to the tweets.

Are your mid's in phase? turn your balance all the way to one side left or right, Is the bass output louder set to one side?

Same amount of midbass on both sides. The speakers actually get much quieter and bass much less when I change the balance to one side.

Looks like I am going to try MAch 5 Mli-65's in a custom built kick first to add to my Type X's. On my 4 channel amp, would I put the HP filter on? Thanks

My $100 Pioneer 6x9's in a sealed box running off a head unit have 100x more mid bass then my Alpine type X pros getting 125 RMS a piece mounted in my doors. Is this simply because of the 6x9's being in a sealed box or what? Thanks I am definately looking into the GTI JBL componets with the crossover the size of an amp.

Deadning will help a ton, but also realize that a 6*9 is also a much larger driver aswell. So a 6*9 having more midbass than a 6.5 isnt uncommon.

Doors are deadened and do not rattle at all. 6x9's produce oval sound waves though!! lol
