Verizon Copyright Infringement

This is the email i received today. I live in a house with 4 college kids. Downloading happens quite a bit, but today got this email. Is it legit? and if so how worried should we be?

While this activity may have occurred without your permission or knowledge by an unauthorized user, or perhaps by a minor who may not fully understand the copyright laws, as the primary account holder, you are legally responsible for all activity originating from your account.

yes it's legit.. and yes if they decide to pursue it you/owner of the connection whoever will be responsible. they may have just done it to give you a shock... hoping you'd stop.. but I doubt it.. geez at least use peer guardian anyhow.

i got one before for tekken 4, but that was for sharing.

if you are DL then its a non issue, if you are UL then its a problem.

yeah its odd....ill just say there's a quite a few downloads going on around this campus and this is the first ive heard of....why do you think this file, out of so many? never had any problem with anything from pirate bay

because you shared while/after it was finished downloading, and one of their bots picked up on it.
