Veizon Vs At&t

I have had both...to be honest they are both about the same where i live...coverage is scatchy to say the least for both providers...ATT does seem to be putting up a few more towers than verizon so i give them the edge for now....

You don't need a **** hook up. It's the simplest thing to get off the iPhone plan. 550 minutes unlimited texting picture messaging and data. The lowest family plan is actually $38 which is the 550. 3 lines we don't use minutes at all considering we have almost 5k in roll over. I must correct myself though we dont have the 700 minute one which we stated before I forgot we had changed it since we use about 100 minutes a month between us all -_-
still doesn't even out to the correct amount but good try

$38 service(which doesn't exist,lowest is $50), data is $30, and text is $30...thats just for the iphone.

$10 each for each additional line. Your looking at $118 allready before taxes and before any other phone WITHOUT data

I just switched to Verizon from Nextel/Sprint after about 9 years and got the EnV Touch. Its no Iphone but its very nice and with the family plan, 1500 minutes and unlimited text/data I only pay $130 for two lines (including govt discount). I noticed a difference right away, Verizon is very clear and crisp.

My wife wanted an Iphone and I thought about getting one myself, but there plans **** balls. I know its a cool phone and all that crap, but **** the data plan alone for that thing is retarded, let alone getting two. Plus we don't leave the county much so international calling is no big deal.

For those of you thinking about getting Sprint, I don't recommend it. I have had Nextel for years and when Sprint took over their service has been **** terrible! I had them for the PTT for work, but I don't use it that much anymore and I was tired of all the dropped calls. You could literally be standing in one spot, then take one step left or right and lose all your bars/reception.

Don't switch providers based on a phone alone, do some research before making that 2 year commitment.

Here's how it worksSign in to My Verizon to add the feature to your account and identify 5 or 10 numbers as a Friends & Family calling group. Minutes used when placing or receiving calls to anyone in your calling group will not count against your plan minutes. You can even include landline numbers or wireless numbers of those who haven’t yet switched to the nation’s largest, most reliable network.

Friends & Family gives you a flexible way to control your wireless spending and still talk to those individuals who are most significant to you. Changes to the Friends & Family directory are quick, easy and free, and since there are no long distance charges, those numbers can be anywhere in the country.

We have all that as well, just got the plan so I am constantly forgetting all the shit we have..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Most people I talk to don't know about that.....so I thought I would share:D

I recently switched from Verizon to AT&T. Verizon service is great in my area, but I get a killer deal through work on an AT&T plan so I decided to switch. I got that Xenon phone which is pretty cool and I haven't noticed any service differences at all...

you can have an iphone WITHOUT the data plan and without text for $50 then add lines for $10 each and each of those without data, then you will have $89 a month
thats weird, i called them up twice to see if i bought a used iphone and just wanted text on it if i could do that. they told me that it automatically enrolls you in the iphone data package, which i didnt want to pay an extra 30 bucks a month on. and with it you need to data plan to be able to send and recieve picture mail.

Does anyone on here work for verizon that can help me negotiate a good deal? Is it better to go to one of those kiosks or a verizon store? Currently, I have t-mobile, but I am thinking of switching because my friends live in BFE and only verizon works. I like the Boulder phone as it looks like it is resiliant against dropping and has a music player.

Helps!

I dont think so

If you put your sim in an iphone thats not yours, they dont know which phone is which

they just know your using your sim card

but realistically, if your not gonna use your iphone for data and such you dont need one. Might as well get a ipod touch

Are you sure? When I had Nextel and switched my sim card to another phone they sent me a letter stating "we see you have upgraded" but they did not care. It was weird though.
