Vegas...

I just got back from there.... bring lots of money and if you want drinks in the casino you better be gambling or BYOB. A backpack would be a good idea if you want to save some money and carry your own booze around. It's too hard to keep track of drinks and stuff out there so none GAF if you're drinking your own. I don't know what dump SpiderMonkey is hanging around but I never heard any gun shots and we walked right through the ghetto on the way to the Pawn Stars pawn shop.

i actually grew up in las vegas, went to highschool out there and all... check out stratosphere tower if there still doing the tours, its pretty cool.. but either way there is more there to do then you will be able to so just check out what you think might interest you... o yea and if a girls starts talking to you ... ignore her.. it dosent matter were you are.. if she starts the convo she is a hooker.. if you play the slots dont go over the .25 slots lol... check out the buffet at the rio its amazing if its still the same, and check out club rah if its still there in the luxor.. i havent been there in 10 years so i dont no whats still there or not... but have fun and watch your back... the city never sleeps and neither due the scammers and thiefs...
Yes, Stratosphere for sure! Some cool rides and what not up there.

And I'll second the hooker tips haha. I didn't even realize a hooker was hitting on me until after she left. And then security came in and tossed them out.

Vegas is the best. Ive been many places but i think Vegas is still my favorite. Im no pro, but have been there 7 years in a row, stayed a different place everytime, and we had our Wedding out there. Ive stayed on the old strip and new strip. Definately go see the light show at Freemont(old strip) and do your gambling there. Cheaper tables, and better payouts its seemed to me.

So far ive stayed at the Rio, Palms, Riviera, The Plaza, Circus Circus, Tropicana and for our wedding we had a suite at the new Planet Hollywood Westgate tower. That place was very nice for the price aside from having to walk through the shopping mall to get to the casino :/ . At least its pretty much a circle, but took the long way a few times drunk lol.

Your first time i reccomend that you just "keep moving". its easy to get caught up at some places so just keep on going and seeing things. Alot of the hotels have free shows or special things they do. The ship battle at T.I., lava show at Mirage, Fountains at Bellagio, Lion feeding at MGM, Floating parade at Rio, etc.

My favorite steakhouse was Nine at the Palms ( i like there clubs the best too, incredible views of the strip), Binions at the old stip is a classy old school joint tho. Were planning a trip back again next spring for my 30th birthday and our anniversary. Cant wait to book it this fall!!

Awesome info man. You said your favorite Steak house was Nine at the Palms, I know me and my buddies are looking for a good steak dinner. Do you recall an average entree cost there? And any other steakhouses you've been to that were good?

Ya Nine is rated one of the best in vegas and rightfully so... personally of all the nice steak houses ive eaten at across the country i think it was the best or close to the best steak ive ever had. Definately pricey, i think my steak itself was $60-70 and didnt really come with any sides. But it was amazing. I think it was like a 16-18oz NY strip that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water...

BInions on the old stip is a good steakhouse, we went there after our wedding with about 30 people that flew out to vegas with us. Has been around a long time, great history there. They were more in the $30-50 range for a nice meal.

theres other great choices im sure, Bellagios has a primo buffet (not the sizzler) , youll hear tons of different answers from different people. Also If you and your buddies are competitive stop by Pole Position by the palms. Indoor go karts that do 50ish mph. You cant smash eachother but it was fun. They time everyone and me and my buddies all bet a round of shots. Our one buddy had to buy a $100 round of shots basically lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I remember eating a couple nights after Nine at a cheaper steakhouse that people said was great for the price and maybe on its on it wouldve been.... but after eating it I told my wife id pay the extra for Nine everytime if i could.

Okay.. I leave out for Vegas in about 10 hours... We hitting a few of the new Night Clubs out there... going to the BM Awards... and doing the Convention for Real Estate stuff also... inbetween that we will be hitting all kinds of other stuff that has been mentioned on here.. Thanks for the comments and idea's on stuff to do...

I have driven through a couple times on my way to and from reno for a job, i only remember being a lil mad cause i didnt get to drive over the hoover dam, and that all the bathrooms at all the gas stations that i stopped at were closed at around 5 in the morning, had to pee very bad lol, but i do remember the casinos in reno especially the ones with sport betting, and the food in them being large amounts and at a very cheap price for what it was, aslo cigs a little cheaper than here in texas...

dont be a pussy. spend all your money and go bawlz to the wall. what's the point of going to vegas if you're not going to be on the strip. im sure you're not going because you saw the "old strip" in movies. people go for the glam of THE strip.
