Vegas trip suggestions

I'm thinking about booking a trip to LV for my fiance & I in December. We went about 3 years ago with her family and stayed only one night. I don't remember much about it. I'd like to stay 3 or 4 nights somewhere on the Strip. Have no idea for budget right now, but I don't want to spend a lot. I'm curious what Hotels you guys suggest, what attractions to look into, and whether or not I should fool with getting a Rental Car. Ideas? I'm looking at Ceasars.

As a side note: while searching I saw that Jerry Seinfeld is going to be at Ceasar's on June 8-9....which would be my honeymoon week...and we ALMOST decided to go there, but instead are going to Maui. Still, how awesome would that have been.

They just remodeled the Golden Nugget a little over a year ago. new owners drop a few mill into it. Rooms were nice as f*ck and everything is cheaper downtown. Stayed at Circus Circus last Dec, didn't like the rooms and to many kids. Did walk away with some cash though.

Another one for the Golden Nugget here. Unfortunately when I went we stayed at Binions. YUCK! I would definitely stay on Freemont St instead of on the strip, you'll save a ton of money. And get a rental car. Just a cheapo economy car should run less than $200 a week. You will spend more than that on cab fare.

I think I've decided TO stay on the strip and not go with a rental. Everything I'm seeing is saying it's not really worth the price of a rental car if you only plan on visiting the strip.

I'm looking at the Bellagio, Aladdin, Ceasars, or Venetian. Ceasars is EXPENSIVE!!!

I think this will be a fun trip, just not as cheap as I thought before. Of course, if we decide to do this, this will be our x-mas gift to each other. haha.

TI is nice too, you might wanna look into pretty much everything they have there. Too bad the Stardust is no more.

only think i dont like about that is the nugget is the only nice thing downtown.

its like having the best seat in the bathroom, it is nice tho, i cant deny that.

what about the MGM?

are you guys going clubbing?, or just gonna chill somewhere.

you should eat at Z tejas, its on paradise, and definately get a rental.

My wife and I stayed at the MGM Grand, and depending when you go their room rates are fairly cheap. We went in the middle of December and paid $69 per night and the rooms were pretty nice.

Anyway, I don't really see the need for a rental if I'm staying only on the strip and don't plan to go anywhere else. This is basically our first time, since our true first time was only for 1 night.

I said, I guess your right as I dont gamble much, but they got a shit ton of attractions I would like to see. Oh well, I guess Cancun isnt so bad. Just have to wait for a while for that.

Venetian is great, the whole place from the lobby to the bathrooms smell great too.

Beligio is pretty cool as is Mandalay bay.

Wynn FTW. That place looks great.

I'm going back in april... staying at the Wynn, very nice. It will cost you though. If you have some coin to drop stay at the B, ceasars, or the Wynn. If you want to save some money look into the Flamingo it was just redone. Also, mgm has some pretty nice rooms for pretty cheap. There is nothing like vegas, except amsterdam... went their last year. Makes vegas look like a kiddy park.
