Value of 1978 Ak-47?

Really? wow, thats kinda horrible how cheap they are. I don't like mine, i've shot it twice, maybe 3 times. Mainly let other people shoot it, since i'm 5'3 like i said and its not for me. I want to sell it, along with my p22, and get a glock 19. Most likely i'm going to sell both of my guns tomorrow, depending on what i can get for the ak.

Just because they go cheap some places doesn't mean there aren't idiots paying ridiculous prices because they don't know how to research.

There is a sucker born everyday, find one. Find a local gunsale forum and throw it up there.

What does you size have to do with it? You just need to learn to shoot it properly.

Everyone should have a good military type rifle. Keep it.

What was the 1911 you traded? (How much did you pay for it?)

i'd prefer the accuracy of a glock with 15 or 27/29 rounds compared to the accuracy of the ak.

Also. WTF????? I've shot an ak 200 yards at a target the size of a dinner plate and hit it within 3 shots. There is a reason they are all over the place bud.

SKS and AK47 are built and designed for different purposes. SKS was designed to run semi-auto, so it wont handle sustained rapid fire as long as an AK will. But the SKS is inherantly more accurate and has less recoil thanks to its dual pistol recoil mechanism (AK has single long-travel piston).

Neither weapon is particularly accurate. I wouldn't own either for anything other than plinking at targets for fun.

Being a small guy shouldn't keep you from firing an AK effectively. Look at all those tiny Asians that used/use them effectively. If an 80lb Viet Namese can fire one, so can you.

I owned an RPK. Not the best gun but it was fun while I had it. They are not accurate guns though. I'll take a bolt action any day for accuracy.

There is no illegal way to buy a semi auto unless you stole it. If it were full auto you would have lots of fee's to pay and have to hold a special license. You also wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone unless they did the same.
A Semi auto is no different than walking into walmart and buying a shotgun...

Finally, you cant sell guns on this forum. So if that is your intent please stop here. Otherwise feel free to chat about it.

If you want to sell it, take it to a gun show or a shop and have them appraise it. Then you can sell it to them or to someone else there.
straw purchase!
