I'm looking for a little guidance. I've installed one Ungo alarm/keyless entry about 10 years ago when I got MECP Certified for fun (I'm an nerd)... And now my buddy wants to put a keyless/remote start on his work truck. I ordered him the Valet 562t and the PKUGM2X bypass for his Passlock PK3+ and actuators/relays. Now I have the challenge of installing it once they get here. I have the manuals already, but a few things look odd. (maybe since I've never done remote start before!) The locks arent hard, but a few bumps in the road that I'm having are:
- Getting a wiring diagram for the 2007(new body) or 2008 Silverado (4.8L)
- Which two wires go from the 562t to the "start" and "ground while running" inputs of the PKUGM2X?
- Where do the rest of the r/s wires from the 562t go?-- since the PKUGM2X is connected to all the ignition, keyside, starter side, etc.
- And does the 562t need add'l relays for the r/s harness? The diagram looks like they're included, but I don't want to assume)
- Maybe a few more q's later about the 562t harnesses, but these will do for now. I'll know better when I see it.
I'm sure with a little probing and trial/error, I can hold my own here. But a little help would really be appreciated so I don't fry the brain.
