im about to buy the usx800f for my 2 alpine type r's . i just want to know if they will work fine with the amp. the type r's ar 4 ohm +4 ohm model.

You'd have to wire the subs to a 4 ohm load..the usx isnt stable at one ohm.

The amp will do about 500 at 4 ohms...

are u saying it will be doing only 500x1 or 500x2 because i have 2 alpine type r's.

hows that possible. the ratings on them are 300x2 rms @4 ohms

and 400x2 @2 ohms. why would u say that ill be getting only 500x1

Ahh, ok, I was looking at the usx800d. That amp might be a little too powerful, since US ACoustics rates their amps at 12.9 volts...but, if you are careful with the gains, it should be ok...
