USX4065 :) cant wait

One of my first amps I ever bought. Loved it.

Put it in an ex gf's car, not sure what ever happened to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well if came in, went to hook it up and got screeching squealing garbage. After some toying around i came to the conclusion ch2 is fuqed, everytime i plug the rca into it for front drivers side speaker its power cuts in half for 15secs and starts freaking out. If i just plug in ch1 it plays ok for a few min, then i get a really bad background noise/static. I can just leave it on ch.3&4 and didnt hear any issues after a song but thats only half an amp lol So now i gotta wait till monday and call this guy up. Fuq repairing amps, seriously if someone blew it. Chances are half the components that test ok are going to blow within a few months if not weeks or days. Repaired ***** is a ticking smoke bomb

I don't see anything wrong with a repaired amp. The components inside either work or do not work. Once repaired it will be as good as new, if not better, depending on where the repair is done. Still a sh*tty situation getting nonworking amp.

Sorry to hear your tale bro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I was waiting to hear how awesome it sounded.

Well i mean you can damage a component but not destroy it. It just dosnt run as should anymore, but still checks out ok.

I know! I was so disappointed, for some reason i was expecting to be blown away. Coming from a db drive amp. Ill call them tomorrow and see what he says, i know i have a warranty but im not paying return shipping on it lol

^^ theyre nothing special?....i run the usx 600f 2 channel on a flat eq, and it sounds amazing...

may not have the most settings, but the sound is so clean... and underrated for sure..
Yea there ratings are at 12.9V, but now i cant decide if i should have him send me another or just get a refund. Me and a buddy are going to replace the HP/LP switch on my memphis pr4400 today to see if i can get all the channels working on it again. Its a beast for sure. Running ch1&2 off it to my OA 12(like 180wrms lol) and its STILL shaking my truck

Who'd you buy it from?
http://audioclinik.com/

Its under warranty and he has like 3 more of them at his shop. Also 100% feedback so im sure he will take care of me, just upsetting for it to arrive defective

I would just have the guy swap you out another one. These are definitely amps worth having/using. I own two usx800f's and they sound amazing and have tons of clean power. There is no good reason not to use/buy a repaired amp if the repair was done by a reputable person. For the most part a vast majority of the important parts of an amp either work or they don't...........not really any in between other than maybe caps which are approaching the end of their usable life span. There are people that call themselves "techs" that take your money for doing a half *** repair. If you have an amp repaired by somebody like this you may very well have your amp fail on you soon after the first "repair" . Some people just like to change fets without any thought or regard to the condition of the audio or power supply drive circuitry.

Just got off the phone with him, he said he tests everything before it leaves the shop so hes not sure how this happened. I told him i didnt have the spare cash to ship it back since i just bought this and an AQ1200. Seeing if he can do a call back threw fedex now, hoping he sends a replacement now instead of making me wait.

Hope this guy takes care of you. I almost snagged one of these after seeing your post originally because it matched my 800's but honestly I am not sure I am going to be able to use these 800's in my install. As much as I love them I am thinking about moving them to go in a different direction.
