Using Kenwood Audio In

I have a DDX712 and was wondering if I can connect any device via the 3.5mm stereo plug and play it through my speakers.

you should be able to..I have the same one, and it won't read my i touch unless I unplug it and re attach it to the aux input (headphone jack) and the ipod cable for some reason.
