yes. but you dont fuse to your amp specs. you fuse to the amps that your wire can pull. but either way you will be fine with an 80 or 100 amp fuse
right - which is to say -- amp req's 75A, that's too much for 8 ga wire, so you should be using 4 ga wire. If you are, any fuse up to ~120A will work fine. 80 or 100 really doesn't make any difference.

True, assuming the amp has on-board fuses (the Alpine should).

There are amps out there that have no on-board fuse, and the in-line fuse must be used to protect the amp. Zed Audio amps are a good example.

Just making sure nobody goes a fries a Zed:) .
