Using 3 ch on a 5 ch amp

Hi,

Planning on getting the kicker zx700.5, it a 5 ch amp. Currently I plan on using only 3 or the 5 ch to power 6.5" upfront and 1 10" sub. Would leaving 2 ch unloaded have any negative affect? Currently, the factory amp is powering the rear door, and I plan on leaving it that way. Kicker also have a zx550.3 which is a 3 ch amp. THe 700.5 is not much more in term of price but with a little reserve power if I ever wanted to replace rear door or go active.

Thanks!

Not sure if leaving the 3rd and 4th channel will do anything damaging but keep up the details. Hows it sound with the SLC's? I'm planning to work with 6speed on a Rainbow front and a solo sub off the same amp. Might go Germaniums or the 365 KICK. Just need feedback on how and if I can run the Kicker bridged @4ohm to the Gers. Nice thinking with the active possibility.

Notice he wants the 5 channel just incase he adds rear fill or goies active...

Youll be fine just running three channels...
