Soldering is the only way you're gonna get a connection with any chance of surviving. Take it to a CA shop and ask them to solder it for you. Did it come about because of user error? IE. is it burned at the tops of the lead?

After soldering? You must be sending a clipped signal to your subs.

i have been useing this sub for about 2 3 months and sounds fine and i took it out to take picz and noticed the separation of the tinsel. i have been playing it while its been like this. coil looks great sounds good and gets loud.

when my tinsel broke and i had a tough time getting it back i unsolder it from the part that goes to the terminal then connected the two pieces together and used http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2470644&cp=2032058.2032231.2032283&pg=1&parentPage=family

to puton the end and give it a lil more slack to fit back to the terminal.

This is kinda confusing.
