USACI rules and my newest system.

I just got done purchasing my last set of two Soundstream 15's so that'll make it four 15's total. Now the problem is I will need an amp that will give out around such and such watts and stay in the 300 watt class. Each sub can take 400 watts rms since they are Soundstream PCW's. Each sub is dual 4 so they can each be 8 or 2 ohm wired. Tell me what you think on a amp that I should go with.

Thank you.

Well, I'm at soundoff.org and I do not see anything for 0-600 watt class besides sq rules. They are still showing 0-300 watt classes. I'm not saying they haven't updated but I was checking to see if I could use two amps instead of one. If I could pull 138+ with one of these 15's in a trunk of a Rubicon 302 I wonder what 4 of them would do walled off in a tacoma off of two rubicon 702's and still be in the 0-600 watt class. This has yet to be seen.

I find it hard to believe anyone could have 4 15" woofers and be in that class. Not that 600 watts couldn't move those subs but for someone trying to compete in SPL I don't see why you would do that.

Nevermind, answered my own question.

Bottom of page is the class breakdown for SQ.

NO 0-300 anymore and there wasn't a 0-300 when I competed in '04. It's been 0 - 600 for a while now. The reason they did that is because of the declining interest in SQ competition.

I just like the looks on other people's faces when they ask me how many watts I'm running like when I took 1st with a rubicon 302. I told them 300 watts when by rule it was only I think 100 watts? I would have to look up the specs again. Well between 100-150, not entirely sure.

Well I could always run in SB4 but I want to play it safe so please someone show me a link for the 0-600 watt class. And yes they had 0-300 watt classes in 2006. We've been through this before. I was there, I won and yes it was a real USACI competition.

Well if there was there was, I really could care less. I was at a comp in the summer of 2004 and the classes were 1 - 600 and 601 - up. And yes it was a real USACI competition.
