This kind of things pisses me off. I am not condemning this thread and I am not praising it.
NONE OF YOU have earned the right to talk bad, or talk any good about ANY of the services unless you've been in. I don't care if you have friends or family who have been in, were you there when they were in??? Propably not..........
You get your opinions of all the branches from the media and from movies and you take it from there. The media is the biggest bunch of bullshit lies and after being in the service then and only then can you only realize this fact. You have no idea the kind of bad things and the kind of good things that really go on. Who says his commanding officer didn't tell him to dispose of the dog? Who says that this clip was really 2 minutes long and the media hacked it down to create controversy?
What if this video never made the net, and none of you knew this happened, and the next day he's awarded the medal of honor. THEN WHAT WOULD YOUR FEELINGS BE FOR THIS MAN?
As for fellow servicemembers who have been in for awhile on this forum, you've earned the right to post on this subject because you know how the media twists things, you know how easy it is for the military to cover things up, and hopefully you know what the word "Honor" means. What this guy did in the video was not honorable and if your a civilian don't try and agree with me.
As for everyone else, your opinions have no validity concerning the ups and downs of any branch of service.
Join one, then you can talk.
End of thread, end of discussion.
