us amps vlx-50? or usa 400

Anyone know what amp this is ?Got it from my buddy who said he had it special made by us amps without the vari loud controls and that it is a vlx-50..anyone know the difference between the 2 ,and where is the date on the board on these ?Would i be able to tell by when it was made? thanks for any help..

are the caps 50 or 100 volts?

not really sure on the caps... but the box says usa 400 and purple for color but then it says vlx-50 in black written over it..
