225 amps of fusing... 225x12=2700 probably subtract 30% is 1890. I dunno. Even if you take 40% off you still get 1620 at 12v.

I found this quote in a thread on here. He was talking about the 100HC Ultra. Not sure the difference, but this is pretty awesome. I am too young to know any of this.

"I called US Amps and spoke to their tech and he said this amp is pretty much bulletproof and can run .125 ohm load per channel no problem as long as you can feed the voltage and current, it does ~6000 watts RMS @ 12.5v! I think it's the most powerful class AB amp ever made for car audio before everything went to Class D or whatever else." -Wingman0121

lol right. not even close bud. now when someone buys this thinking its 6k and only actually 1500-1800 they might not be too happy lol. I collect this line of us amps and know they never made an amp to do even close to 6k at that time. the vlx-400 couldn't even come close to 6k. actually to get 6k I think you would need 3 vlx 400s lol.

I wasn't even close myself lol.

Just some info I found, not me personally. I know these were considered cheater amps back in the day and would do far more than rated power.

I would like to see a clamp test done at some of the crazy ohm loads this can supposedly handle.

shouldn't run an amp lower than recommended stable load. especially a 20yr or so old amp lol.

also these are a little underrated as many of the os amps were but not as much as many think.
