US adopts tough new space policy

The US has adopted a tough new policy aimed at protecting its interests in space and deny "adversaries" access there for hostile purposes. The document - signed by President Bush - also says "freedom of action in space is as important to the United States as air power and sea power".

The document rejects any proposals to ban space weapons.
"The United States will preserve its rights, capabilities, and freedom of action in space... and deny, if necessary, adversaries the use of space capabilities hostile to US national interests," it says.
hey, mayby it will jumpstart a new space exploration race?

US freedom of action in space...lmfao

We had to rely on the Russians to get to the ISS...and Europe launches far more satellites than we do...but we get to dictate who goes into orbit and who doesn't. OK.

And we wonder why we get laughed at by the rest of the world...

captains log: stardate one, zero, five, three, five, eight, one, one point sixty nine. President George Bush the Ninth (IX) has announced that my ship, the Starship Enterprise, is to launch an attack on the klingon race today. we have reason to believe they have thermo-nuclear weapons that are capable of destroying our galaxy and have hostage our first lady, monica lewinsky the twelfth.
