OK, so I am going to hook this sub and amp up tonight, because all the wires I had run before were 4 guage, so I don't have to run any new wire...just have to wire the sub and amp.
I have a pic of how I think the sub needs to be wired up to run off the Avionixx amp...I've got 8 guage (I believe) wire running from the positive of one side to the negative of the other side of the sub...this gives me a 4 ohm connection, correct?
Also, how tight does the wire need to be that is being run between each terminal on the sub...does it look tight enough to you?
Now, once that's mounted I need to run 2 wires. 1 from the negative terminal of the sub to the R- on the amp. And from the positive to the L+ of the amp...is it bridged at this point? Or are there different wires I need to run to actually bridge the two channels?
Then I need to run a 4 guage wire from the battery to the +12v of the amp, with a fuse that will be about 9" from the batter (is a 80 amp fuse enough)? Then run a wire from the ground to the GND of the amp?
How in the hell do I run the short antenna wire from the HU all the way back to the amp?
What would I run for the RCA jacks to the amp? I'd imagine that it would go to the L & R Line Input?
If you guys could help me with this it would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks guys!
