Well, you raced, got a ticket for it, will get in some bad trouble for it, in turn you wont do it again, atleast for a while. Which is why you got the ticket in the first place. IMHO. Sorry man, but it's true.Alright before i start, this is a serious situation so if you could please keep all the off topic / jokes out of this thread and give me genuine assistance.
Basically im going to layt it out for you in plain daylight.
My current driving record consists of two Tickets,
1) Speeding ticket for going 85 in a 65
2) Ticket for running a redlight ( it was yellow and i tried to make it )
Tonight i got a ticket for street racing , it wasent a real race.. meaning i didnt jack the gas from a stop and light em up and go 90 down the road, i was cruising down the road going about 35 and this ricer comes up next 2 me and he guns it so i gun it to, we go from about 35 to 48 - 50 then stop and i see a cop in my rearview, he dosent turn on his blues or anything he casually drives up behind my car and then turns them on, we were going 50 and the speed limit in the zone is 35
The cop did NOT right a speed on the ticket, nor did my radar detector go off, he just put down street racing, no speed , no nothing.. it has a mandatory court date on it, no other BS
Basically whats my situtation looking at? I was nice about it to the cop even though he was kind of a dick to me.. Will getting an attorney for the court date help at all? do you think i could get it reduced to a speeding ticket or something? basically what can i do
Well that is an interesting story. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif Except that' s not what happened. Perjury ftw???Ask to see radar recordings and dash cam (if available in your area) to prove that you were ''racing''. I don't believe they'll ticket you for racing if you're doing the speed limit. Also if there is no video they wont see you fly up on a ricer, instead you ''thought it was a friend passing by so you scooted up for a closer look". If he was 200+ yards back it's hard to determine you were racing. Basically try to be a manipulative *******. I've never gotten a ticket but I'll be ready to do something about it if I get one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
For real. He is always making threads about some sort of ticket or something about his POS cop car look a like. I guess it dont help ya much. You got caught for racing, plain and simple. Now pay the fine, get the points and go about your bussiness. See you in anohter month or so with another thread about ***********OMG I GOT ANOTHER TICKET, HELP ASAP!********************how many threads you gonna make about getting tickets? jesus christ when will they finally take away liscense.
All the court needs to see is that you were street racing. Being that the laws are real strict ont hat now, I don't see you getting it dropped to anything lower. Expect a big *** fine and community service most likely. We got one for 94 in a 40 when my brother first got his license, few months after he did. Called it street racing, 580 dollars and 80 hours of community service later, it doesnt show up on the record. Yes, that was part of the deal...not showing up on the record. The cop did NOT right a speed on the ticket, nor did my radar detector go off, he just put down street racing, no speed , no nothing.. it has a mandatory court date on it, no other BS

Usually it dont. But I am sure you are paying out the *** anyway. What is that 3 tickets in a year? So that is most likely at least 6 pts on your DL. I know in ohio you only got to 12 then your lose your DL for up to 6 months. If you are caught for street racing and they do put it on your record, then your looking at 4 pts for that one. That would be 10 pts if you lived in Ohio. Just try and take some comunity service or classes for driving. Then again, I just really dont see you learning anytime soon.if it dosent show up on the record your insurance remains the same then correct?
