ups screwed up my w7

yea i just got off the phone with ups and they said i cant do anything that the sender has to do it all cuz he is the one that payed them, so they wont even tell me anything now

i hate ups

 
I got off the phone with them earlier and the claim is just pending them picking it up tommorrow, inspecting it, and then going from there. I left you a Voicemail...... I took pics of the sub with my phone at the packing place also, i was hoping this was not going to be an issue, but it seems like everything i have ever shipped through ups or had shipped to me with any weight to it gets messed up. I had fed-ex screw me for a T-4 hybrid turbo b/c they fubar'd it up, and then they just didn't even pay me the full amount of the turbo b/c seller (a business) only had insurance up to 500$ when the turbo cost me almost a grand.

Sorry for this trouble man. When you called this afternoon, my stomach dropped when you said what was up with it. Please take your own pics of the box exactly how it was packaged, and the exterior as well since you said it had holes in it.

 
dont worry its not ur fault u didnt do anything it was ups that messed up not u

as far as pics go my camera is broke right now so i cant take any, but im gonna try to get some before ups comes to pick it up

they do mess up heavy stuff it sucks when this happens

 
they wont just cut you 1000 dollar check. they will ask for receipts of the purchase to make sure the item your sending is actualy worth what your saying it is..

 
maybe they will handle this professionally...... i only insured it for that much b/c that is how much it will be to replace it if it is bought retail....

You are in for a long process. I had to file a claim similar to what you are going through about two years ago. This is what will happen:

UPS will do their own investigation (30 Days)

They will ask for a receipt for your original purchase (this takes however long you take)

UPS will decide how much your claim is worth (30-45 Days)

UPS will mail you a check for the damage (2-4 weeks)

It took almost 4 months for UPS to get me my money. I was PISSED.

I had my Q shipped to me from another member on this forum, and the way the UPS store packaged it was HORRIBLE. When I got the sub, the package was busted on one end, ripped, and smashed in. Luckily my sub wasn't damaged.
