JL Audio isn't the only company that has "weird" vc configurations.

For example, the RD Elite is available in dual 1.5. There are many other examples too...

ctx's are badass

i blew mine up. the crossover started smokin and one of the mids reads -.06 on the dmm.

Powerbass 3XL = ~3ohm

D4 Ohm coils = DCR = ~3ohm

D2 ohm coils = DCR = ~1.7ohm

D1 coils = DCR =~.7ohm

RD makes coils in alot of specs, same with DD.

False. JL equipment is overpriced, but very nice...

I agree misfit, I don't think JL is CRAP just because they are overpriced at retail prices (as are most products), I got the 300/2 for $125 and the 12w7 for $200 locally.

I like JL but search the net for good deals...they can be pricey but you can find some good deals out there...eBay has a lot.

It isn't weird...it just gives you options. Also, A lot of amps are stable at 3ohms?

A Lot of JL's amps have power supplies in them that allow them to output full rms power with different resistances. Look at the 1000/1. It does full power from 1.5-4ohms. I wouldn't really call it weird.
