In most situations, rear firing tends to lead to the least amount of cancellation and best sounding bass. But it is completely install and car dependent, so just try all the positions and angles you can think of. That's half the fun!Question for you all as well. I'm building my own box for this and it's to be my first build. It's for a trunk. Is there a perfect direction for a sealed enclosure sub to fire. Toward the rear, toward the front, in a wedge pointed toward the rear deck. Right now I'm planning a wedge just because it seems reasonable to aim at the rear deck because it has holes. Does it even matter?
