I think going from a budget of $200 to $300 will open the doors for many more possibilities. I currently have the Alpine 9881 but I know I can do better than that. I know the 880prs, 9887, and 7000 is out there for me to get for ~$300. By me not planning to go active anytime soon, is there any reason for me to get those listed above? Would I do fine if I chose a HU in the lower end than those? I am not really a professional at tuning like most of you guys here.
