Well I'm coming by 100 dollars and I'm looking to Upgrade my front speakers.Right now I'm running

Rockford fosgate P1572's upfront with 60 watts a channel at 4 ohms 90 at 2 in I'm looking for

something that will be louder and clearer, is that possible with only 100 dollars to spend.

I know allot of people will say go component but is there anyway to mount a tweeter without

permanently modifying the car?also for 100 dollars would I be better off buying a decent coaxial over

a component? if component where can I get mounting brackets for the speakers?

Links to speakers and brackets would be much appreciated.

I know very little of car audio and would love your guys advice

Yes for the tweeters - you can secure them to the dash, etc. with velcro tape //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Generally for the midbasses, one uses a spacer made of MDF or another (hopefully nonporous) material to gain extra mounting depth in the doors, which also acts as a "bracket" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I've got those rockfords and they get pretty dang loud. For the price, theyre great, but, i wouldn't doubt that their is better for the money

Yeah they are pretty decent, what do you have yours crossed over at?

alright How would I go about wiring a component up my amp is in the rear of the car.. would I go amp to cross over. and then leave the corss over in the back of my car with the amp? and then from the cross over go through the door gromet into the door and wire up the mid bass driver, then take the other speaker wire and wire up the tweeter which will be located somewhere in the cabin?

silver flute 6.5s. Tons of people will tell you those are the ****. they are very loud, have midbass, are only 3x.xx each and can handle 125+ rms each speaker but only need like 50 to get loud. i have had mine for about a year and love them in every way. best mids ive had by far. it would take alot of money to buy mids that sound better than these. and this is not a nut huggers opinion. do your research.

Here is what you can try. If you're intimidated by the installation of component speakers, you can try to have a local car audio shop doing for you. I have seen some offering this service for under $100 (you can bring your speakers). If you have absolutely set your mind on coaxial speakers, there are two good options, one is within your budget and another is not. However, I wouldn't bother with $100 component speakers.. Most of the interesting options start in the $140-150 price range (Polks, Alpines, RFs, Morels, a tad cheaper, etc).

First, you can try the Alpine Type-R coaxial speakers, the new ones, there are versions for all speaker hole sizes (even 6x8/5x7). These are known to have strong clear mid-range and lots of bass. The price is close to your budget.

If you want to go more expensive, try Hybrid Audio Imagine speakers (they have only 6-1/5 and 6x9 version). They cost around $200, but they had been described as the best speakers for the money, and they're probably the best coaxial speakers out there at any price. They have a convertible component/coaxial design, so you can run them either way, but I have gathered by now that they had been optimized for coaxial operation, so that's right on for your setup, except for price.

PS: Another coaxial option is Morel Maximos, with 6-1/2 inch version sold under $100. However, their tweeter dispersion is reportedly quite bad, it should be more on-axis, so in coaxial setup they may or may not sound well in your car. And Silver Flutes are just mids, without crossover or tweeter. You will not get away cheap with them and probably need an active processor/amp. Stay away IMO.
