Upgrading whole system

Need some help, I've researched everything a bunch but I'm still pretty confused as to what I should get and not to get.

I want a new headunit, front speakers, one 10inch sub and a amp.

my car is a 99 a4 and the front speakers it can handle are only 4 inches unless I wanna buy brackets so if you could suggest 4inchers that would be good.

I'm pretty sure I want a kenwood x596

Does the # of rca outputs matter? I only want to hook up front speakers and a sub+amp so do i need 3 or 2 okay?

For the sub and amp it really does not matter I am open to suggestions, I am looking more on the side of cleaner sounding music and high quality I don't care much for trunk rattling or insane bass.

I figured a sub like the 10inch alpine type s would be good

Can anyone help me find a sub+amp and wiring kit, for good sound quality and about $300-350

and a set of fronts for about $100?
