Upgrading System

In a matter of days I will be redoing my entire system. As it is right now I have a 105 amp stock brand new alternator(lifetime warranty) I have 4 gauge wire running form my under hood red top, to my trunk where it then goes into a 2 farrad capacitor. from there the power splits off to a single 4 gauge for my PG ti600.2 (subs)and a single 8 gauge for my alpine 4 channel(components).

I have done the complete "big 3" upgrade in 4 gauge wire. And with this current setup very rarely does my voltage drop below 13 volts(verified with a DMM in the trunk) at idle.

Now I plan on adding a USAmps MD1D(1200 x 1 @ 1ohm) and removing my Alpine 4 channel amp. The PG amp is going to stay to power my components(150 x 2 @ 4 ohm).

I am going to be using the kicker hyperflex 0 gauge kit. Now my question is....Would I see any difference if I were to remove the 2 farrad cap and add a second red top in my trunk instead and use it as the distribution point? Or do you think I should be ok, just with the cap as it is?

wouldnt do a red top, go yellow top, kinetik or something else
I dont need deep cycle. I never play the system with the ignition off. Ad redtops offer more current faster than yellows do. It would have to be an optima as I get a discount on them through my work.

hmm if that were true people would use them in db drag......WHICH THEY DONT

I dont know who you deal with but my Interstate Batteries rep told me that as long as the red top isnt used as a full "Deep Cycle" battery that it is perfectly acceptable and warrantied for car audio aplications. So theres no issue there.

Now back to the original question....Would the second battery be necissary for 1500rms?

i got a sundown saz1500d running at 1 ohm on a 105 amp alternator with no voltage problems at all. I thought i was goin to add a 2nd battery but it looks as if i might not have to. You can check it out and if you do get large voltage drops then add the 2nd battery.
