Who said you could talk?
In a matter of days I will be redoing my entire system. As it is right now I have a 105 amp stock brand new alternator(lifetime warranty) I have 4 gauge wire running form my under hood red top, to my trunk where it then goes into a 2 farrad capacitor. from there the power splits off to a single 4 gauge for my PG ti600.2 (subs)and a single 8 gauge for my alpine 4 channel(components).
I have done the complete "big 3" upgrade in 4 gauge wire. And with this current setup very rarely does my voltage drop below 13 volts(verified with a DMM in the trunk) at idle.
Now I plan on adding a USAmps MD1D(1200 x 1 @ 1ohm) and removing my Alpine 4 channel amp. The PG amp is going to stay to power my components(150 x 2 @ 4 ohm).
I am going to be using the kicker hyperflex 0 gauge kit. Now my question is....Would I see any difference if I were to remove the 2 farrad cap and add a second red top in my trunk instead and use it as the distribution point? Or do you think I should be ok, just with the cap as it is?
