Is it worth it to upgrade the factory speaker wires? I am planning to integrate a 4 ch alpine amp to my factory bose system by tapping into the speaker leads. I was wondering is it worth it to upgrade the front component speakers wires or just tap into the existing ones?

thanks,

I guess i will upgrade the speakers wires. Only part is I hate getting it through the doors, but a lil use of Dawn should help.

Another questions, I have a bose system which have 2 factory amps, 1 for speakers and 1 for sub. Where is the best place to tap into? right behind hu or after amp? Also, I am planning on getting the alpine MRV-F545, which suppose to have high level inputs according to a couple of websites (althought couldn't verify through alpineusa.com). Should i use:

1) speaker level input

2) LOC

3) Xtant XLA High Level Adapter

http://www.xtant.com/direct/details.cfm?PN=HLA

Thanks for the input!

I always do it just so it's not bugging me thinking "i wonder if this would sound just a BIT better if i would've redone the wiring....."

Pick up a 100ft. spool of 16 or 12 gauge wire from lowes, i don't remember the pricing exactly, but it's really reasonable, and it's made by philips.
