Hi all, I recently made a post about upgrading my speakers and I think it is time.

I didn't want to have to get a new amp but I think I may have to, so I will have my sound upgraded and not have to worry about it again..

First off, I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I have a pioneer HU, it is pretty decent, cost me about $180 or so, I can look up the model later.

I have a kicker L7 15" subwoofer, with a kicker zx750.1 amplifier.

Now what I am looking to do is upgrade all my speaker stuff inside of the car to make it sound better.. Currently it sounds like shit and at times I can barely hear the music, and there is really no depth to it at all.

WHAT exactly am I going to need?

I assume 2 rear door speakers, 2 front door speakers, and 2 dash lil speakers for my car. Also an AMPLIFIER to power all of these?

I am a complete newb to the speaker part of my car, I know a bit about the subwoofer, and can hook and unhook it all myself, and I understand that.

I am not sure how another amplifier in my car will work.. Do I splice the power wires together, do I run a seperate wire?

I am looking to spend $250 MAX on this. I really can't go any higher because I need to spend another $150 or so on deadening my vehicle and I just can't get too crazy with this.

If anyone can just push me in the right direction with what I need, what installation will be like, how it will be hooked up, how many watts am I going to need on an amp?

Also any product suggestions would be great. I am not looking for the GREATEST I just want something that sounds nice and will give me a good upgrade and clear sound to go along with my monster subwoofer.

Thanks so much in advance and I will look foward to hearing everyones feedback!

Eh.. I'd just get a Type-R component set for up front, then find an amp that will do about 100Watts x 2 @ 4-ohms. This should be plenty to hear over your sub(s). You can use the power wire from your current amp and buy a distribution block then run a separate wire to the 2-channel amp.

Yes that is for speakers and an amp. I know it may seem kind of cheap but I don't have much to work with..

Was really just considering getting a set of pioneer 6x9 for the front and powering them off the HU just to see how they sound, if that does the trick for me I might not even get an amp.

nah man, im not sure if its the same model, but i have an 02 laredo, scratch them dash speakers, not worth the upgrade IMO, just get some nice components, i hear good things about the PG rsd's that are very reasonably priced, and find u a 100x2@4 in the classifieds. i guarantee you can get out for under 200.
