Yeah you can get a 2nd battery tray from the 2500 duramax.

I think the second tray is already there. I just looked at my 2013 1500 and it's there. Can't speak for a 2009, but there's a chance you have one too.

ill have to check when i get back, cant find anything on if an 09 has a second tray
