Hey Iv got two pioneer premier TS-W1007D2's in a 2.2 cubic sealed box running 500 Watts in a ford escape rear facing behind the seat. No dynamat or anything. I was wondering, thinking about upgrading and wanted to know, one type r, two type r's or one type x in a sealed box? amp can go 1000 RMS 2 Ohms and 1200 RMS at 1 Ohm. Will one type r hit harder and or get louder then my two pioneers? what about going low? thanx

1 r probably wont hit harder and probably wont feel as low and 2 subs. more cone area = louder. two type r's will probably get louder and lower
with one type r ruled out, which would be better for the money, two type rs or one type x? would the two r's sound better as well? I can get two type rs for a little more than one x, thanx

Two type R's would be louder.

Just one type X would sound better but type X's cant handle the mids as much.

Better for the money I say type R's
