Upgrading Audio System 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP on a Tight Budget

I just installed a sub for a friend who's got your exact ride. Personally I'd work on substage first. Those stock speakers aren't the best but they are ok and you got components up front already you should be able to get a pretty good sounding system just off stock with a small sub and sub amp. Later on when you have more money I would replace those speakers because I had him cross his at 120hz and they still had some distortion at high volumes. All in all it sounded alright though and you'll be way more pleased with a small sub in there than just upgrading the speakers. I could try and take a vid for ya to show how his sounds. Might not be for a few days though don't plan on seeing him real soon and outa town this weekend.
