Sony cdxgt650ui gets extremely hot

Hallo,

I installed this SONY CDXGT650UI on my own.I am not a professional technician but I am pretty sure that installation is done 100% according to the manuals.I use 4 Ohm speakers (BMW OEM) and none of them shares each others - (negative) polarity. I do not have an external amp.

My problem is that after about 3-5 minutes use at moderate sound level the Unit gets extremely hot!!! so that you cant touch in the back side of it(heat sink). Is That normal? Please advice.

doesn't sound normal. Is your ground to a bare metal on the chassis? Could just be a faulty amp also
