Anything from a 1200-2000 will be good. Just look for one selling for a good price and grab it.

Another brand of battery. Lots of people sell them. They're about 80 lbs though.

And just so you know, 4/0 is sort of like -4 gauge (based on as the numbers get smaller, the thickness of the wire gets bigger)

1/0 is 0 gauge and so on.

I like this idea..is there a quick explanation on how to bridge subs? new to me on this one.

Hes talking about linking the amps togethor using the RCA jacks.

oh ok. so I would need both amps to have 2 sets of rca jacks right? 1 for head unit and 1 to bridge to other sub?

The SAZ series of sundown amplifiers have the special output rca's you need. You cannot do it with any amp that simply has "rca outputs", unless you invest in a maxxlink...which is a whole other story.

This whole thing here is a WTF moment.

It seems he ( ccab ) is talking about wiring subs, and you (plottin ) belive he is talking about strapping amps.

If Ccab, you are talking about how to wire the subs then you will buy 2 D4 subs and wire them to 1 ohm and i think 2 D1 subs will also wire to 1 ohm. Instructions for that can be found on the12volt.com i think.

If plottin is right and your talking about strapping amps then you plug the RCas from the HU into one amp then run RCA's from the output to the input on another one and set them up in a Master/slave config or buy a Maxx link and link them.

Buy the biggest DC subs you can afford. I'd suggest a lvl 4xl or lvl 4. Whichever you can find in the classifieds. $200+shipping is a good price on a lvl 4. I've seen some floating around here.

To power them, If you get 1 lvl 4, get a sundown sae1200d or sundown saz1500

If you get 2, then get 2 saz1000's and run them bridged.

If you get 2 lvl 4 xl's, then get 2 saz1500's.

SAZ1500's usually go for about 300-330 in the classifieds.
