I currently have a Power Acoustik A2400DB mono amp and a Power Acoustik A600-4HP 4ch. amp. I'm only running 2 Pioneer 12's at the moment but I'm planning on getting to RL-P 15's. I was wondering if it would be an upgrade to get a Phoenix Gold R15.0:1 and a PHOENIX GOLD R8.0:4 in terms of output and cleanliness in both the mono and 4ch. amps. If so I might just sell everything I currently have and buy the new setup. Thanks

Well it pounds the hell out of my subs with the gain all the way down and the bass boost all the way down, both my subs handle 1000w a piece. I was planning on adding another 12, but am now leaning towards 2 15's. If I decide with the other setup I'll let you know the price for the A2400DB if you want it.

As for my first question I would also be interested in people's thoughts of another sub and 4ch amp that match, I don't really wanna spend more than $500.

I think the Phoenix gold only puts out like 1400 rms @ 1 ohm ....

Yeah, the A2400DB will definately put out more power than you need.

So does anybody have any suggestions on an upgrade?

I'd stick with the 2400db, you got plenty of power to throw at some subs with it, so unless you want to do a real big upgrade in power, why bother wasting the money?

I'm fine with the power, I was just wondering mostly if the phoenix golds would put out a cleaner signal for better sound or would I not even notice the difference?
