Upgrade to a new L7?

I own a single L5 in the largest ported kicker box. Would switching for the new L7 be much louder than my original L5?

Keeping the same box is gonna be fighting an uphill battle if you're adding more power... An L7 is gonna crave a bigger box if you're feeding it more power.

actually, the box requirements remain the same for L5 and L7, if this box is done properly.

if the l5 and l7 have the same box requirments then i believe it should work! i guess what i am really getting at is how much louder are the new l7s than the old l5s
