Upgrade Q

Sorry for this question which is repetitive on every audio forum, but I'm not sure which would be a better upgrade. I have a Taurus with a pretty impressive speaker system already and massive trunk space but it just doesnt hit hard. I wanted to get a Type-R but they're so dam common and I know there has to be better. So basically I was trying to look between a Type-R, Type-X, L7, or a Premier W3002SPL. I have about 800$ right now so sticking in that would be good, but reasonably over that wont make a difference.

I wanted to stick to one for now and later add a second in a separate enclosure, either running off its own amp or the same amp. I am looking more for SPL but SQL is important. Thanks in advance.

If ur going for pure spl the L7 would prolly be ur best bet. But if u want sq too id say go with the premier. Most people say the premier isnt known for sq but IMO they sound just as good as the R's and will get louder.

I saw that the Premier is a little cheaper than the Type-R's and have a higher RMS but I haven't really researched the L7's that much, I'm assuming they're awesome as well since everyone has one lol. As for an amp I suppose the 750rms range would be a right start.

RMS isn't the sole determinant on how loud a speaker will get.

I know, obviously things like type of box, tuning of box, and things like that are extreamly important, but figuring out what speaker is best for my situation is probably better than worrying about the box right off the bat

I'm really leaning towards a Premier W3002SPL and the D3000SPL amp. Would you suggest a HO altenator or just a yellowtop in the trunk for the extra power?
