Well, after having my current setup (see sig) for not even a year, i decided i want to upgrade a little. I'm going to keep my CDT CL-62's and CL-6X's, as well as the Alpine MRD-M501. Im going to sell the Hifonics ZX6400 and both of my SWR-1221D's, as well as the CDA-9825, eventually.

I plan on gettin 2 12" '05 Type R's in a ported box (that i will make). Each sub will have 2.1-2.4 cubic feet and tuned somewhere between 30-34 hz (looking for a mix of SPL and SQ). I'm going to get another MRD-M501 (550w rated, 600+w actual) so each sub will have its on amp. All i need now is an amp to power my components. It needs to be under $250 and AT LEAST 150wrms x 2 at 4ohms in STEREO (something my Hifonics can't provide). I also need it to be as small as possible so i can hide it easily. I dont want anything that is a POS, but something that is reliable and will perform well and snnds a crystal clear signal. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

the amp in my sig... If I have any left //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif, I'd have to double check //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As stated before, space is a big problem for me. I started thinking about amps and what-not during class today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif , and thought of something that MIGHT work. Would it be possible to get two, SMALL, 2 channel amps that when bridged, puts out 200w x 1 each, and have each amp powering only one side of the components (one amp running to one crossover, the other amp to the other)? One amp would have the "left" RCA's running to it and the other amp would have the "right". The gains would be set with a DMM, so they would be the same. I thought about using a class-D amp, but they dont have HP filters, which is what i need for the components. Would it be possible? Would it be worth it?

If you are talking about the Hifinics, i have it bridged, so its putting out 340w x 2 in MONO. By it being in mono, im loosing the "side to side" effect, if you will.
