i currently have one 12 type r, 600 rms in a box thats 2.0 @ 34hz. for my first system with me building the box and wiring it myself I am pretty happy. However, as you guys all know, you always gotta have louder. I would like to upgrade to one 15 in order to 1) get louder and 2) hit lows better. I was thinking about getting a 15 type r since I like mine so much and hooking it up to a PDX 1.1000. I guess what Im asking is
Is there a better sub for my criteria than the type r? its like I said the type r is all I know and I like it a lot so far.
box specifications. how big, how much port area, tuning, etc. (for the type r or another sub that you would recommend) Space is not really an issue as long as it isnt like 5 cubes net. I have no problem giving up my whole trunk
realisticly I would like to keep all this (sub, amp, box materials, amp kit, etc.) under 1000. that would probably be my budget
