Update on Hertz Problem, STUPID installer

Hi guys,

possibly figured out last night why I'm not impressed by my new MLK2's. Turning balance all the way left or right, I figured out that the installer, who IS a certified Hertz/Audison installer, has my tweets and mids cross wired. Balance left, and the left tweeter and right mid is on, and vice versa.

Even as a noob, I know that can totally screw up your imaging. And with the driver side favored delay set in the crossovers, the sound is probably even more screwed up.

I'll let you know how it turns out when I get a hold of the installer.

I had the same experience at a BB when I lived in Louisville. I had no tools to do a h/u swap myself, so I got them to install the 9855. I couldn't get anything to sound right. When I got back to Alabama I pulled the deck out. They had the RCA's all messed up.

Moral: Never trust the installer.

Installer is coming to my work to fix the crossed leads.

I'm hoping the difference is fairly major.

I'm also going to have him adjust some of the crossover settings.

I'll keep the board posted.
