Up in the air about which ride to get?

I see you have a durango listed as a possibility. I dont know how to second gens fare, but the first gens are a bit cramped for space I think.
My sister had one for the longest time. Unless your short, it will be very cramped and uncomfortable riding in the middle or rear row. Front seats are fine though. Im 6'4 and didnt really enjoy it. I had to sit in the middle seat in the middle row so my knees could go between the two front seats.

Doesnt have much room either in the back for storage.
Newer ones are much bigger.

Also kids are very small and will stay that way. The two older ones took after their dad, who is 5'5", lol! and like 140 pounds dripping wet!

My baby is 18 months and is 27lbs, which is half the weight of the 11 year old, lol!

pathfinder for sure! Honda pilot?

Pathy is an option. Not feeling the Pilots exterior and don't look that big. Does have good fuel mileage though.

Then go for the second gen if anything.

You will run out of space quickly with a first gen durango. My sister had to sell it as she had 4 young boys and it just wasnt cutting it.

BTW, is that you in your avatar(just curious), this place allows some strange avatars.
No, his wife. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

mazda or hhr

if you have over $40K in savings as you once said, you can leverage the two.
I have more than that.......

Also why would I want to dump a bunch of money into a car when I am also trying to save for a house. Rather finance the car for a few years than dump 15k into a car cash.................actually I might put down a few grand to only have to pay a couple years on, but I still wouldn't use my money I have saved up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I worked to hard for that money and saving it for the house and only use that in case of emergecys and buying a new car is not an emergency. If we have to take two cars, then so be it.

I have looked into the mazda5 and that is an option, but they are very small.

well, i meant it in the nicest way. i meant that if you have your money set you can manage the car, kids, and a new pad without any issues. it was a compliment man, i know i hardly gives those...

have you looked at the mazda cx-7? seen a few 2007 and 2008's with decent mileage for $14-16K. not a bad deal and roomy, but you sacrifice MPG

Sorry you took it as me getting defensive, but I was just explaining and with our past history, never know what shot you are taking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks though.

I am actually thinking if we get a good amount of tax money back taking that and putting a good chunk down on a nice pre-certified SUV or van for my wife and me keeping my Focus ST. I would really hate to get rid of my ride and take on her car as it has a ton of miles on it. I have so much left to pay on mine and will be done with it.

Found a couple nice Durangos, Exploders and Trailblazers for 10k and under with 50k miles and under.

I figure trade her car in and probably only get 1500 and drop a good 3k (Depending on taxes) down on it and have right around 4500-5000 off the price and financing around 5-6 for around 3 years. Should be 150-200 bucks with her interest rate, which won't be that good considering.

I will check into that Mazda Quest. Forgot about those ones, but not sure if they come in triple row seating or not. I will find out.

not sure about triple row, but the ones we were looking at the last few weeks have been pretty nice. i am going on the 4th month me and the lady are still looking for cars, suvs, etc...

she doesnt know what she wants and like me we will be putting a shitload down. she is pretty frugal and is looking to keep the car 7-10 years like her grand am. she has had the dang car for 8 years and since she makes $60k+ a year now i think she needs an upgrade.

she just wants a sunroof...no nav, no leather, no huge wheels, or big engine, she just wants a sunroof on it.

edit: its the cx-9 with a third row, but not too many used ones around
