universal 5 lug rims questions

so i searching craigslist and i always see people saying universal 5 lug. so i emailed one guy and he said they will fit anything with 5 lugs. but i thought that it would fit like 1 or 2 different bolt patterns. does anyone know the answer thanks?

4 lug and 5 lug wheels are only capable of fitting two lug patterns.

Since there are several different 5 lug patterns : 5x100, 5x108, 5x110, 5x112, 5x114.3... (and more!)

Generally 5x114.3 is drilled into most 'dual lug patterns' as it is used by so MANY manufacturers. Expect to see lots of 5x110/5x114.3 duals.

Have the guy measure the holes exactly, as there is any number of possibilities that it will not fit your vehicle.

tell the dumbass to look on the back of the wheel its stamped on there lol

make sure you get the right offset to i hate seeing cars with rims that poke out shit needs to be flush

5x114.3 and 4x115 is so similiar that most people will never notice anything after the wheel is correctly mounted and balanced.

You shouldn't have a problem running those wheels.

i persoanlly wont run 5x115 on my car(my lug pattern is 5x114.3 or 5x4.5 samething) but im a stickler when it comes to shit like that i have heard from some people nothing will happen and i have heard from people that it has ****ed up their rims i have no personall experience but it makes sence
