I saw United 93 tonight with my girl. This movie was pretty **** emotional and hard to watch. I would have to say that it kinda made me sick (i still feel like shit now). Just wanted to get everyones thoughts on the movie.
remember... it was the gov who did it...

j/k... sorry I might be inviting loons into your thread...

I refuse to watch it.
I couldn't agree more and it nauseates me that the film companies are using one of the most tragic events in this country's history to make some jack at the box office. This movie is reprehinsible and disgusting-I will not see 2 seconds of that shit.

I totally agree its sick how some people make money, but I bet you've been to a movie or two in your lifetime that has capitalized from a horrible event //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Many many many of them out there. Some think it's distasteful to do it only 5 years after though.

Take for instance all the WWII movies that came out ~5 years ago...50 after the fact, so it's more of a historical point of view rather than forcing people who were directly affected to relive it.

they care about they $, not the truth
Tis nice to hear that 10% of the opening week will be going to the memorial fund. At least some of the money will be used for good .

___________
That is deffinately good to hear, but true...money pwns truth.

Oh, maybey I have, but I can't think of any except for Saving Private Ryan, and Shindler's list. I also saw Hotel Rwanda and it did what it was supposed to do- make me angry at the government and the worthless UN- I don't know, when I saw the preview for this movie it just made me sick to my stomach.

Holy shit bike junkie in the house. Where the hell you been?
Whaddup mang, I've been lurking a bit and posting intermittently here and there, but it's cycling season so I'm out training and racing a bunch more now and don't have the long, dark, rainy hours to park in front of my computer.

I would feel a bit different if more than 10% on opening weekend went to them, but it is still sick and I'll watch the buttsex scene(s) in brokeback, and like them, before I watch 2 seconds of this peice of crap.
