Unemployment

I had to move about 80 miles away from where I was living so I had to quit my job, and this dumb *** hick town doesn't have any jobs at all. I have been searching every day for the past month.

I finally was told that I would be able to draw unemployment with out waiting the 6 week period for quiting, as long as my previous employer does not contest it. Me and my previous manager were real close and he said he would hire me back or help me out with references or anything I needed, so I asked him to help me out with this, and now he is saying that he will have to pay into the reserve account, and it raises payroll, taxes, etc.

So that sucks being that my wife had to have her car repaired and we owe about 1300 on the repairs.

I am curious how this unemployment bidness works. I know if you quit you have to wait six weeks to apply as a penalty, so if I do go in in a few weeks, (will then be 6 weeks) then will my previous employer have to pay it or does it come from another source?

Every state is different. go get answer from your states website, not a car audio website. Some states don't give you benefits at all for quitting.

That would be using common sense for some people.

That shit is unheard of by some

only if you are black:fyi:
Not true... I get unemployment right now. I didn't have to wait any amount of time before I could start collecting it. My previous employer went out of business and I've been looking for a job now for the last 4 months. I'm getting bored out of my mind with no job. It would be okay if unemployment paid me more, because then I could at least work on my car, but I can't really spend the money carelessly on anything. I still gots bills and whatnot.

Everyone knows this is more than a car audio website. We do legal consulting as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Hot ****! I'm going to confide in everyone here before I make any life altering decisions from now on.

i thought if you quit you are SOL. otherwise you could work somewhere for a while, quit, collect unemployment till it runs out, get another job, and repeat the process.

For the most part, yes. However, depending on the state and your reason you can still be eligible under some conditions. this is why it can't be concretely answered for this stupid fuck.

For example here is the reasons CT accepts for you to quit and get UC.

I don't know why he had to move 80more miles away, but whatever the reason is, his state may find it acceptable.

******* what is your up your ***? You have been bashin people all day?

I moved because my wife goes to college, and it is 80 miles away, plus she has a good paying job that carries insurance where I just had a min. wage job that had no benefits.

stupid fuck.

Nothing is up my ***. I did not ask a question with too many government/legal variables on a car audio forum, dipshit. I am serious business, *******.

As far as your situation, I doubt that reasoning will satisfy your state's UC requirements, but as I have tried to politely tell your moronic ***, no one can concretely answer it besides the unemployment office of your state.
