Yes yes let us ignore everything prior to 1900 and pretend SS, medic care, medic aid and life long welfare work and are cheap and work very well.

Disagree with them ideologically or on principle if you want, but it's bullshit to say it's hurting our country. It HAS helped people, it has ZERO effect on you (and there is a lot to be said for it stimulating the economy). They only people programs like that have a negative effect on is the super rich. The end up only being rich, instead of super rich, or just super rich, instead of super, super rich.

Vote for less government if you want on your principles, but don't act like it will be good for the average person in this country.

Republicans talk like taxing rich people more than poor people is class warfare, but in reality, class warfare has been going on for 1000s of years. The difference is whose side government is on. Republicans want it to be on rich people's side (or no side at all, which is in effect on rich people's side) and the Democrats want to go to bat for 98% of people.
