Believe it or not, a point can be understood though not agreed with. I understand the point you're making, but it's bullshit. Even though our government allowed it, Slavery was an obviously horrible practice. Taxing the rich is nowhere near as horrible as slavery (and I'm obviously arguing that it isn't bad at all). Thus, your comparison is invalid. I know what you're trying to say, but slavery and taxing the rich are nowhere near comparable. Sorry.

Uh, slavery and 90% taxes on the rich are comparable, in exactly the manner I compared them: as policy our govt once considered fair, legal, and moral. The fact you keep returning to your thought that slavery is far worse than 90% tax rates simply shows you are incapable of keeping the conversation on point. Why? Because its vastly easier to simply say "slavery is worse than my tax rate suggestion!!!111oneone11!!" than it is to admit my point is valid (previously accepted mores do not dictate moral fairness).

I really wish you were as smart as you think you are. Then maybe our conversations would go somewhere other than the circles your logic, and inability to decipher my logic, take us in.

Yeah, they earned it by working so hard, pleading with god to be born into a rich family. You really think that anything but a small minority of the richest people in this country weren't born into wealth? You're really that naive?

And here's the entire basis for your liberal tendencies, your inherent jealousy that YOU weren't born rich, and the animosity in breeds in you towards people who were. Its been clear for weeks that your deliberate demoralization of the rich stemmed from jealousy, its nice to see you put it into words.

Im not even going to insist you find info on exactly how many of the top 1% are born into that class, explain that your tax structure hurts not only them but also the people who DID work their way up to that tax bracket, or explain that even 'rich' people work 'hard' and frankly take much higher financial risks than the average citizen does. I would explain those things, if I wasn't debating someone who bases his stance simply on jealousy and animosity towards people better off than him.

Lastly, why not preach for the death tax if you are so pissed some people are born richer than you? Why? All I know is, Prox is not the only one here born poor. I lived with a single mom throughout my childhood, we were very poor. Sure I wished I could come into school wearing the latest polo shirts and guess jeans, driving a brand new car to school when I turned 18, and having my choice of colleges to go to without worry of how to pay for it. But instead I worn baggy, holey jeans to school, last years fashions from K-Mart, and my first car was a piece of shit I payed for myself by working 2 jobs at the age of 18. So I have little patience for ass wipes like Prox who are mad at the world because he cant handle the same jealousies and unfairness 98% of the rest of us have also had to deal with, when he was probably born into a healthy family life and actually has had a relatively easy life so far. Kid needs to grow the fuck up, take some personal responsibility, and quit looking over other people's shoulders and pissing and moaning they have something he doesn't. Worthless little fuckwad.

By the way, you realize that if it wasn't for the racist rednecks in the south who switched over to being Republican after the Democrats passed civil rights in the 60, the Republicans would never win an election, right? Not that I'm trying to say that all republicans are racist or anything like that, I'm just painting a more clear picture of the American population. It's much, much less than half that agree with your viewpoint.
