Box should be like double the size of what you have now. That and get 1/0 gauge wire.

DD rec. 4ft^3 and yes seat down with sub and port firing into cabin will probably be louder.

I haven't seen any metered results from either of you in this thread?

well neither my friend or I have gotten our cars metered. We sat in each others cars and played the same songs but his seemed louder...thats all im saying..but hes running 120watts to each sub, only 2. and im running 1100

"Seeming" louder is way too...sketchy to go on. Especially with songs instead of tones. You could go on a sensor and find out that yours does better.
