Um..i dont get it

okay so it seems that my box is not correct size according to you all. i will go ahead and talk to my local dealer and see what he will do for me....and also later on im adding an additional 3515, and im going to have 2 2000watt amps. any box ideas for that?

Book looks to be 4ft^3 BEFORE port displacement (and possibly gross, not net, volume)...remember to remind your "local dealer" that the port area is NOT included in that 4ft^3 box size.

idealistically you'd want it firing into the cabin. this only works if you can seal off the rest of the trunk. essentially you dont want any of the sound waves to be able to get back around the box/into the trunk. If so cancelation will occur. That's why it sounded like ass when you had it just turned around and firing forward. You'd want to make basically a wall in that trunk opening/blowthrough. That will yield the best results.

From the looks of it you need a new box. A better built box for sure help you out. But if you;re gonna build a new one, might was well make a blowthrough into the cabin if it's not too hard to do. Trust me, if it works, it'll be worth it.

i say port up sub back. Make the port fire right thru ur speaker holes. U should get more sound into the cabin witht he port firin thru the holes. Or u could fire the sub into the cabin, just seal of the trunk.
If you do not know, do not give advice. SUB forward, Port to the side. Teammate

had best results that way on the meter.

I have an ST Focus and had an 02 Cavalier and a lot of it is our accoustics of the car. They just don't get that loud. I hit 144.1 on two type R's in a 3.50cbft box sealed box facing back off 1000rms with different altenator and big 3 and 0/1g kicker hyperflex wire in the cavalier. I traded that car in for the Focus and put the same system in my Focus and had it deadened just like the cavalier for the most part and same electrical besides a little smaller altenator and I lost quite a few dbs. I only did 141.2 in the Focus. Couldn't be a charging issue, cause I was over 13volts when it hit. I just believe it is our accostics of the car.

So took that out and went with a more SQ oriented system in my 1 Fi Q in a 1.5 sealed box being I needed more room and I was doing 138.4 off 1 12 and same amp and way smaller box, the crazy thing is it seems to hit as hard as when I put in the 2 12 R's, lol! Now my sub is fuxored, but was nice well it lasted. Need a recone, or a new sub, not sure what I am gonna do.

Yeah, im pretty sure that i am in the 140's. atleast that is what everyone says to me here. Once i get my other 15 im going to wall off the trunk and it "should" be pretty **** LOUD.
