The festiva is a good idea, there was a guy here who stuck a turbo 323 engine into a festiva...ran high 13.3 in the 1/4 (with severe traction problems.)

how about an olds 455 motor into an older S-10. one of the guys i work with did this conversion, but he wont take it out because he cant get traction with his radial ply tires(they are oversized, but not tubbed out).

that would be a huge sleeper, close to 500 ft/lbs at very low RPM... there is some fabrication work there though.

i saw a twin turbo buick regal on some site dynod at some rediculous numbers, not quite a sleep i guess tho since the turbos could be heard miles away

the video on the net was a grand national, and it had a 350 transplanted into it replacing the I6. smoked the tires on the dyno and still put down 1000+ Hp. very impressive, but there was also tons of stuff done to it.

1. if you can hear a typhoons turbo, im sure you can hear a v8 in an escort.

2. you cant drop a 302 into a FWD car, youd have to make it RWD and that would cost money.
